It is with profound heartbreak and deep sadness that we at the Pope Francis School and Health Centre (PFSHC) received the news of the passing of Pope Francis. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all who mourn his loss. As we reflect on this momentous loss, we find ourselves deeply moved by the indelible impact he has had on our lives and mission. Pope Francis was a beacon of hope and compassion, whose teachings have significantly influenced our path. Since our inception in 2015, we have been dedicated to assisting the Reverend Sisters in providing care for children in rural villages suffering from chronic diseases.
Our journey began with the search for a name that would embody the spirit of service and love for the marginalized. Upon his installation in 2013, Pope Francis spoke passionately about the poor and forgotten, resonating deeply with the experiences of the children we serve. It was only fitting that we named our organization in his honor.

Pope Francis’s legacy is one of unwavering service to the Lord and His Church, teaching us to live the values of the Gospel with universal love, especially for the poorest and most marginalized. At PFSHC, we find solace in the fact that his legacy continues to inspire and guide us every day, urging us to care for the most vulnerable and ensuring they are never forgotten.
Our mission to provide quality education and healthcare is deeply rooted in these values. We strive to promote the academic, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth of the vulnerable, neglected, and abandoned populations in Ghana, West Africa. Through our work, we will continue to emulate the compassion and dedication that Pope Francis exemplified throughout his life.
Though his presence will be dearly missed, Pope Francis’s spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by his words and deeds. We are committed to carrying forward his legacy by serving those in need and fostering a community built on love and empathy. We aim to ensure that even the most marginalized individuals receive holistic care that respects their humanity.
