How does PFSHC child sponsorship work?
Our child sponsorship program addresses the root causes of a child’s health vulnerabilities as HIV patients. Because of poverty, food security is one of the causes of their premature deaths. The funds provide the basics which includes clean water, food, supplements, vitamins, additional medicines as well as transportation to the hospital for their checkups. Additionally, footwear and toiletries are sometimes delivered. A healthcare professional visits the child to check on their well-being. Sometimes they receive temporary treatment and if necessary, they are transported to the hospital. Each visit includes prayer services.
And it’s effective! The transformation has been amazing on almost all of the sponsored children!
- Children are healthier!
- The children are sick less often!
- Those that can attend school are thriving!
- They gain necessary body weight!
- They grow in their faith!
